Today is one of those days

Today is one of those days where you can hear me chanting under my breath something to the effect of "I will succeed, problems are there to be solved, I will NOT let life stop us going on this adventure, I will succeed, problems are there to be solved, I will NOT let life stop us going on this adventure....." You get the picture....

Today is one of those days where Timm is dealing with a "difficult" student. It is one of those students where I ask myself how life managed to produce such a horrible human being. A student who wants to take the easy way out, who is trying to lie, cheat and talk himself out of the situation he has created. I also secretly thank the universe that Timm has to deal with him ;-)

Today is one of those days where I have to deal with website problems, one more urgent than the other, the end result being that the whole site seems to have crashed. "Page Not Found". Arrgh. Time to play denial and pray that the site will reappear. Don't tell the Boss.

Today is one of those days where the Printing Company made a mistake when printing the next Course's materials. Send it back for reprint.

Today is one of those days where our Office Manager is off sick, I have just managed to get my head back into work and a student wants his electricity refunded. And that 5 times. 5 different students. 10 minutes apart. I want to murder someone. Time to lock the office door.

Today is one of those days where I should actually be next door in the medical classroom to support Jamie doing practicals. But I just can't. I'm needed everywhere by everyone. Sorry Jamie, you're on your own.

Today is one of those days I don't get to ride my horse. It happens but those are my time-outs, my time to relax, to rewind. Not today.

Today is one of those days where I don't see this trip happening. How can it? How can we honestly leave our work when all this is happening around us? How can we leave the kids, the horse, the cute cat? Our Families?

But today is also one of those days where my resolve strengthens to make this adventure happen. It's a one-in-a-life-time opportunity and I am not going to miss it.
