French Gamadulla's (Les Quatre-Routes-du-Lot, France)

Campsite: something complicated

Arrived today in a very small village at a campsite that was recommended to us by Willy and Claire. The campsite is lovely and the village is centrally located to a few sites that we wanted to see such as Gouffre De Padirac, which are Frances largest underground caves.

However, due to its proximity, the village of Collonges les Rouge was our cycling visit for the day.
Collonges les Rouge is an old village that was built out of red sandstone - hence its name, and is located 8km from our campsite.

So onto the bikes we got, waved our host goodbye (who was very friendly and talkative but all in French!) and off we headed.

Now, what Google Maps does NOT tell you is the elevation! 8km of uphill and man, was I grateful for our electric bikes :-)

So here some pics of the day....
