Rocamadour

Campsite:  Camping Le Caldes

Today we actually wanted to visit the caves of Padirac but upon arrival, people were queuing 100's of meters to gain entry - it reminded me of Table Mountain in peak season! No way Jose, not for us.

So on we went to Rocamadour, where we found a Campsite which (quite coincidentally) had lightning speed internet so we used that opportunity to get some work done while sitting in the shade / at the pool and waiting for it to cool down befor walking into the village.

Rocamadour is a medieval village housing the sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which for centuries has attracted attracted pilgrims from every country. Most notably it is a pilgram site for people wanting to walk the Camino de Santiago.

The fortified village covers the rockface and let me tell you, it's a steep way up!

Who needs Gym if you can climb stairs?

The view from the top, absolutely mindblowing
