All Things Water

Campsite: Camping Danica

Timm and I got up early today. Why? Becuase there was gold to be found! We were convinced that our stream had to harbour some gold so we spent a good hour panning some river sand. Alas, no luck. Well maybe, but I can't find our magnifying glass so the one speck that I did pan is an unknown quantity for the moment.

Thereafter we climbed into Felix and headed right up into the valley to take a short hike to a Waterfall.

The water here is CRYSTAL clear, not something I'm used to with our fynbos water.

On the way to the waterfall, we drove by a restaurant proclaiming that this week is "Hunter's Week" and so we stopped on our way back, looking forward to some local venison. Let's just say we were mightily underwhelmed. As in bordering just plain bad food. What a pity.

The weather has been great, we have been so lucky these last few weeks. The days have generally been sunny although this morning we had lots of mist before it starting lifting later in the day.

Now as I am sitting here typing this (6 pm) it is already -1 degrees outside. It's going to be cold!!!
