We have arrived in the north-eastern corner of Slovenia in a village called Bohinjska Bistrica. It is in a valley past Lake Bled. How did we end up here? Well, when looking for a ski resort for the December Holidays I was contemplating Slovenia and one of our options is just up the road from here.
Ironically, the ski resort that we have booked is on the Austrian side of this mountain range. We're literally 115km drive away....
The Slovenian countryside is just astoundingly pretty, very clean and the people are incredibly friendly.
Otherwise not much happened today, we left late as we had to solve a few work crisis and by the time we arrived it was starting to get dark. Hopefully more to tell tomorrow!
