The choice of our campsite here in Heviz wasn't quite by accident. Heviz is home to the second largest natural thermal lake in the world and the waters are reported to be beneficial to patients suffering from rheumatic diseases and locomotor disorders, among others.
As a result this village is a well known "Kur Ort", not only for the Hungarians but the Germans as well!!
So of course Timm and I had to dive in and I must admit it proves yet again that I just adore "wallowing" in warm water. The lake is up to 38m deep and today the outside water temperature was 33 degrees although I think it was warmer. Maybe it just felt like it because the outside air temperature was cold??
Anyways, swim time is limited to 2x 45min a day as the water is slightly radioactive. Great.
Afterwards I got treated to a lovely Reflexology session by Timm and then we went off to find "Kaffee und Kuchen"...
Aren't the autumn colours just awesome?
